Annette Lake [12 hike reports]
Washington > Central Cascades > Snoqualmie+Pass Pictures | Trailhead Location | Hike Reports

The hike to Annette Lake is tiring but well worth it. The trail provides a steady climb as you head up the easterly valley wall between Humpback Mountain and Silver Peak. The hike starts off by crossing Humpback Creek and begins climbing almost immediately. The path is rocky with tree roots exposed from years of hikers steps, so mind yours. The path takes you through dense forests and across exposed mountain side and many streams trickling down Silver Peak, feeding Humpback Creek well below you, cross your path. The last mile of the hike levels off as you traverse across a fall line on Silver Peak, which affords views of Humpback Mountain at times. At its terminal, the trail reaches Annette Lake which is surrounded by densely forested ridges but a few clearings around the lake provide suitable campsites. Annette Lake is a beautiful mountain lake located fairly close to Seattle, so be prepared for a crowd, especially on a summer weekend.

Just completed a nice hike to Annette Lake. The first three miles are a steady climb with heavy wooded cover and few views. The lake is very nice and worth the hike. My brother and I fly fished and had constant action and each caught several nice native rainbows a great day.
