SOOS CREEK TRAILHEAD!!!!!!! I have done the Soos Creek Trail about 4 times now. It is near home and there are several access points. It is a great paved trail plus access for horses. Many bikers also. Unfortunately, while I went for a little stroll tonight with my son someone broke a window in my car and took 2 small backpacks. BUT, I WILL continue to do this trail!!!!!!! Today I walked the trails in Lake Sammamish State Park. The weather was ok, it was cloudy but it managed to not rain. The trails were very muddy however and the lake seemed to be very high. Issaquah Creek was running fast, probably from all the rain we've had recently. The park was basically deserted with only a couple other people walking their dogs. Did this hike yesterday! It is hunting season so only the Spit is accessable by hikers. My son and I walked the spit for 2 hours and finally got a glimpse of the lighthouse. We had to be back to the trailhead because the spit closed at 4:15 but if we could have kept going we would have! I loved the little pebbles and rocks. The driftwood fascinated my son and he had to climb on as many as I would let him.
